Yesterday Marissa Benavente and I briefly birded the mouth of the Cedar River/Lk. Washington in Renton. Among the Common Mergansers, Coots, Gadwall and gulls we spotted a distant Bonapate's Gull and a "Comic" (Common or Arctic) Tern. I suppose Forster's is possible also, but I wouldn't know what to call that trio - "Formmic"??
Unfortunately we didn't have a scope since we were biking, but I assume it was a Common Tern. That is the 2nd tern I've seen at the site, having seen Black Tern there in the past. Bonaparte's Gulls are pretty unusual there also.
