A family walk at the Chehalis Wildlife area (aka Schouweiler Rd. wetland) this morning produced another sighting of the lone adult Trumpeter Swan that has stuck around in the valley this summer. The swan appears to be healthy as it swam out of view of us. I believe my last sighting was back in June, but I haven't been down there much this summer. It was located on the first pond as you walk out the grassy road behind southern yellow gate.
