Hi, Tweets

I know many of you are keyed in on migrating shorebirds and warblers,
but please take a moment to look up and check for kettles of
migrating turkey vultures. They are short-time migrants, passing
through our area in a time zone of about 2-3 weeks. It's quite a
sight to see a hundred or so of these large vultures passing through
- sometimes spiraling up in a kettle, sometimes just cruising
southward. I won't be out at Salt Creek this year for the usual
project, but hope some of you will see the passing of these great
birds (and let me know).

The last two weeks in September is the usual time for large kettles
of turkey vultures. Send me a message if you see some. I'm going to
miss them at Salt Creek!!

Cheers, Diann
