I think "tithed" may be a very appropriate term! While he is running
a business, David has provided a GREAT service to the natural history
enthusiasts of our state for many years now, making it easy for us to
find rare, unusual books and being able to actually look at them
before purchase. He has kept in stock many books that the other
bookstore, including Borders & Barnes & Nobel, would never go near.
He is also a loyal and long term Audubon Society member and has
worked with local conservation groups in joint publishing projects.
In a real sense, we "owe" him, and I'm sure he'd appreciate all the
support we can give him in "liquidating" his rather extensive stock
-- at 50% off, that should be a pleasant "tithing" to provide! I
haven't been down there yet, but I hope to make it this week!
