I wasn't going to respond to this thread, but I'll interject my two cents worth;

My first bird books (series of four) were little elongated books from the dime store. I don't recall the title, but I read somewhere that thy are now expensive collectors items! They were mine back in the 1940's, and my mother tested my memory with them. Each was a different color: blue, green, red, and yellow.
