Tweets,

Yesterday morning around 9:30 at Juanita Bay Park, I also saw a bird that at
my first look I thought was an Orange-crowned Warbler. However, it had a
small white wing patch and a strong white eye line with white below the eye.
The bird did not call, and it disappeared into the willows not to be seen
again. There were at least 3 Orange-crowns in the park, but this particular
bird did look like a female BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER.

Other birds of note: a MERLIN made a few passes through the park, but
seemed to miss snaring breakfast; a NORTHERN HARRIER made a brief
appearance; the first WILSON'S SNIPE of the season.

Subject: [Tweeters] MOntlake fill - possible BTBW.

This morning at Montlake fill 3 Sharp-shinned Hawks and one Cooper's Hawk
jockeyed for positions in the willows and snags around the main pond -
presumably stalking 2 sandpipers present. I didn't get a look at the
sandpiper's or a look well enough to id them as I was distracted by warbler
activity in the willows and shrubs near the foot path. One of the warblers
was a Yellow-rumped Warbler. The other was slightly more problematic. At
first I thought it was an Orange-crowned Warbler but I didn't recognize it's
chip note. Once I was able to locate the warbler, I observed a white tick
on its wing - reminiscent to a Black-throated Blue Warbler. After a quick
look at the wing, I managed to get a glimpse of its face. Here I observed a
distinct white eye line. The body was drab olive. This warbler then
disappeared into the willows and I was unable to relocate it.

So. Is it a BTBW? Unfortunately, I didn't get good enough looks to
confidently id the bird. Perhaps someone else may have better luck.
