Sat Sep 16 6:57p This is Rachel Lawson, Birdbox System Administrator,
with a quick summary of reports from Tweeters in the past week or so. On
Sat Sep 9, Bob Norton reported 2 FRANKLIN'S GULLS from Jimmy Come Lately
Creek in Brin at Sequim Bay, and five more on the Sequim Bay front. Kathy
Andrich saw 2 FRANKLIN'S GULLS also in Brin on Sep 10, and Gary Bletsch
reported another FRANKLIN'S GULL at Jensen Access on Fir Island on the
Skagit Flats on Sep 9. The Sullivans have reported a number of unusual
passerine migrants passing through Bassett Park in Washtucna: one MAGNOLIA
WARBLER on 9/9, a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK also on Sep 9, and a TENNESSEE
WARBLER on Sep 10. EURASIAN COLLARED DOVES continue to be seen at Bassett
Park. Bill Shelmerdine reported one BUFF BREASTED SANDPIPER at Fort Canby
State Park on Sep 9, and Dennis Duffy reported 2 SABINE'S GULLS at the
Everett waterfront on Sat Sep 12. Wilson Cady reported a RUFF at the
north end of Rest Lake on the River S Unit of Ridgefield Wildlife Nat'l
Refuge. And on Sept 15 two RUFFS and one SHARP TAILED SANDPIPER were
observed from the observation blind at the Ridgefield River S Unit.
Cameron Cox reporteD seeing a HORNED PUFFIN flyby during a seawatch at
Cape Flattery on Sep 10 and last of all, Phil Kelley reported that the
WHITE TAILED KITE was still present at Nisqually on Sep 14. If you have
