Subject: [Tweeters] Common Nighthawk at the Fill

I was at the Montlake Fill earlier this week at about 7 pm, watching the
pipits by
the main pond, when a single Common Nighthawk flew over. The bird
approached from the soccer fields to the northwest, lingered over the
Fill for a few minutes at a high elevation, and then flew off over the
lake to the southwest. I'd never seen a nighthawk in Seattle proper,
although there appear to be more sightings lately.
