Seven birders enjoyed a dry, relatively mild, and somewhat breezy day at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge today. Highlights included an American bittern in the waterway just before the ring dike; a pileated woodpecker from the riverside boardwalk; a large flock (estimated at over 125) of cedar waxwings; and yellow warblers were sighted throughout the walk.
