Hi Tweets:

Most of the month we have been seeing Common Terns in ones and
severals along the Edmonds waterfront. Dennis Duffy let me know that
he saw around 50 Common Terns this morning off of Brackett's Landing,
just north of the ferry dock. They use the buoys in the dive park as
perches. After hearing about these great numbers, about 5:30 p.m. I
headed to a good perch on Sunset Avenue, just above Brackett's
Landing. I counted conservatively about 80 Common Terns at rest,
flying and feeding in the area. There was at least one and possibly
two Parasitic Jaegers around. My first sighting was of one chasing
the terns as they were flying low over the water. About 15 minutes
later I saw a jaeger flying high and heading out across the Sound. I
couldn't say if it was the same bird or a second one. But it was
thrilling to see these numbers of terns.
