There were a few flying in light rain about 11:45 yesterday over Ravenna
where it winds its way downhill between 15th & 25th, just NE of the UW. As I
drove down the hill, I spotted one flapping heavily just above the trees,
then 3 or 4 more, very low. There was one spot where I had a little bit of a
view south, and there were about 12-15 in the air. By the time I got down to
25th, where there were no trees, they were out of view.
I was surprised to see them flying in the rain, though the clouds were
starting to break a bit. I guess the urge to move was strong enough to put
them up. Wonder where they had spent the night prior to the flight -
