Tweeters,

A big thank you to Dennis Paulson for seeing to it that the Masked Booby was taken care of, correctly identified, and we were linked up to an excellent article on the work.

In the article was something that reminded me of a question I had for the Tweeters community.

"A Blue-footed Booby?was observed and photographed in Skagit County, Washington, on 6 August 2006 by Ryan Merrill. It was not seen again, notwithstanding a flurry of birder activity searching for it."

Why was there so litttle interest in Booby follow up?

Leora and I put two full days on it and never saw another birder. We posted on both of them. The second was on a Friday to help tweeters decide how to spend their week end. I can only remember two other posts.

Am I wrong here? How many of you went looking for Ryan's Booby?
