Hello All,
Way up on Table Rock at 6250' we see large adult and for the first time a
nymph praying mantis. This is in Columbia Co., Washington in the northern
Blue Mountains. The large adult insects first appear on the wing at this
elevation with the winds that blow up out of the Mill Creek watershed in
late August into the second week of September. Neat animal, but again not
native and who knows what impacts it is causing?
Later Mike
