Hello Tweets,
After reading Penny's and Matt's posting about the Parasitic Jaegers, my wife and I went over to Richmond Beach after dinner to have a look. While there was a good size flock of gulls out on the water, they were all resting and not actively feeding. So we headed up to Bracket's Landing next to the Edmond's ferry dock. This was the spot. We saw five Parasitic Jaegers working over a large group of Bonaparte's Gulls and Common Terns. Two of the Jaegers headed south but we spent about 45 minutes watching 2 adults and a juvenile chasing the gulls and terns around. They were even chasing a Great Blue Heron. Along with a gentleman whose name I did not get, we were treated to some great bird action and a beautiful sunset over the Olympics.
