Hi Tweets,

This morning the yard was full of birds, nothing out of the ordinary except two Fox Sparrows that sung for over an hour between eating and bathing. A pair of Pileated Woodpeckers tried to knock some sense into every snag on our property, and even after they moved on I could still hear their knocking echo in the woods.

The Ravens gave me a heads up that big birds where about, and when I got outside I counted 16 Turkey Vultures heading south, they kettled right over my house and catching better thermals slowly glided south again. I headed into the garage when the Ravens called again and just in time I saw one TV returning from the south and heading north with one Raven as escort. About 30 seconds later the TV did a u-turn and headed back south without an escort this time.

It made me sad seeing them leave, summer is over.
