Thanks to all the birders who caught my glitch of reporting a "tan-
striped" White-CROWNED Sparrow, yes it was a WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW.
According to my wife there was also what appeared to be a juvenile
CLAY-COLORED SPARROW there most of the day too. This is the second
possible sighting for this species at our place this fall and only the
third sighting of C.C. Sparrow for Skamania County. The other being
one mist netted and identified in hand by Cathy Flick and Stuart
Johnston at the St. Cloud Ranch last month. Unfortunately I had a
meeting to go to last night and only had time to see and post the
White-throated Sparrow and head out the door after getting home from
work.
