Today (Thu, Sep 28), 11:48am. Good morning, this is Greg Toffic. This morning Dennis Duffy found a STELLER'S EIDER in Edmonds just north of the Edmonds Ferry terminal and Bracketts Landing. The bird was quite stationery for quite a long time this morning on the edge of a kelp bed, and then at about 10:30 started drifting northwards. There were 4 or 5 of us there this morning, who got quite a good look, altho no photographs. If you go to look for this bird I would look anywhere from the ferry terminal on up to perhaps the access at Water Street. I am currently on Sunset Avenue scanning across and I haven't been able to find it again, but it could very easily be concealed in the kelp bed.
