Tweeters,

The time has come for me to find a much lighter weight scope and
tripod. I emphasize the weight needs to be my primary consideration,
because I'm just not using our heavier scope due to difficulty carrying
the weight of it. I'd prefer good quality, but I'm not at all ready to
sell my car to get it. I like my current angled eyepiece and zoom, but
can do without. Not terribly picky, I'm trying to say, except about the
weight.

Also, I need a light to very light tripod to go with it. I'm 5'6", so I
don't need more than average size.

I appreciate the diverse kind of discussion and creative ideas we often
have at Tweeters, although I will probably go for something fairly
mainstream. Feel free to contact me privately and/or through the list
serve.
