Hi Tweeters,

This morning at about 9:00am I awoke to the sound of agitated crows. At the time, I didn't think much of it as I hear it often, but then as I heard the loud hoarse calls of a Common Raven I snapped quickly out of my morning grogginess and leaped to the window. There, sitting in a large pine in my neighbors yard was the impressive Raven. After a bit more harassment by the smaller corvids, it decided that was enough and flew off over my house to the East. Usually when I see this bird in an unusual location, the Raven passes high overhead, it's nice for a change to have it fly right by you at close range instead. It was an exciting new yard bird for me.
