My very in-expert guess would be "mutt" duck - a hybrid Mallard x domestic.
There are several dwarf breeds. You can see the dwarf domestics at county
fairs.



I see lots of "mutt" ducks in parks too.

I do seem to have difficulty with ducks! Yesterday afternoon I saw little
at Montlake although I met others who had more luck. A hot September
afternoon is probably a bad time to visit.

OK...one duck, considerably smaller than the Mallards and with a "blueish"
beak.
