This morning I stopped by Lind Coulee to see what had moved in. There was a
single RED KNOT with the large group of Long-billed Dowitchers. The bird
appears to be a juvenile bird with crisp plumage with white borders on the
tertials and secondaries. The birds were quite flighty, as a Peregrine
Falcon was hunting them, though it appeared it was not really intent on a
meal, just making a few passes and then landing on the mud bar and preening.

Also at Potholes State Park was a single FOX SPARROW of the 'Slate-colored'
race. The bird was located in the southwest corner of the main camping area.
The park was alive with birds with the majority being Yellow-rumped
Warblers, but with little time to search I didn't make much of an effort to
see what might be mixed in with them.
