Great sighting on Lake Whatcom, Joe! After reading your email I quickly drove down to Lake Washington, and there, feeding on the swimming beach at Seward Park, was a Laysan Albatross! Scanning the lake I saw another one, and there was possibly a third individual. Didn't see any storm-petrels though.

I was hoping to check some other spots on the lake (did anyone check out the mouth of the Cedar River, or even Green Lake?) but I had to go meet David Sibley for lunch. From there we went to the Kenn Kaufman-Paris Hilton wedding, so this is my first opportunity to post.
