4-5-07, time 1300-1500, temp 14 degrees c, wind calm. Seas calm, skies
clear, tide low incoming.

Horned Grebe 5, Pelagic Cormorant 5, Double-crested Cormorant 7, Brandt's
Cormorant 4, Pigeon Guillemot 18, Rhinoceros Auklet 150+, Glaucous-winged
Gull 7, Claucous-winged Gull hybrid 18, Mew Gull 19, Bonaparte's Gull 400+,
Surf Scoter 5, White-winged Scoter 3, Harlequin Duck 9, Red-breasted
Merganser 5, Northern Harrier 1, Red-tailed Hawk 1, Turkey Vulture 8 and
Tree Swallow 4.

The gulls and yes I counted over 400 Bonaparte's Gulls and the largest
number of Rhinoceros Auklets I have ever seen were feeding mid channel on
bait fish (most likely Herring) in huge numbers. This is the first day I
have seen the Bonaparte's Gulls in Admiralty Inlet this year.

The Turkey Vultures were heading north across Admiralty Inlet in two groups
toward Whidbey Island. The Red-tail and Harrier did the same.

On 4-3-07 I saw 26 Trumpeter Swans Fly west out of Admiralty Inlet and turn
north at Point Partridge. On the same day I saw 4 Lesser Canada Geese fly
over Point Wilson then turn west.
