This morning, about 10:00 a.m., a male Mountain Bluebird was observed perched in a low shrub at the South Unit of Scatter Creek Wildlife Area. It was west of the powerlines, on the south side of the "island of trees" that is surrounded by prairie and bisected by the powerlines. A Western Bluebird was seen on the north side of the "island of trees".
