At 1630 today I saw a basic plumaged Arctic Loon 100 meters offshore in
front of my house about 200 meters west of Point No Point. Watched for about 30
minutes as it dove and swam. White flank patches stood out like beacons. More
white on cheeks of head and maybe slightly larger bill than nearby Pacific
Loon. I couldn't get them both in scope for direct size comparison. Head almost
flat on top.

I believe I saw this same bird yesterday once before it dove and disappeared.
