This morning, the Arctic Loon was relocated for at least a brief view
around 9:00-9:30 off Point-No-Point. Thanks to earlier posters for
the good descriptions. Although our looks were distant, the blocky
head & flank patches were clearly visible. In addition, the contrast
in color between the paler nape/head and back was noticable too. We
watched it north and west of the lighthouse as it struggled to eat
something large, then preened for a long while. After maybe 20
minutes of watching it, the Arctic Loon disappeared. We left after
about another hour of fruitless looking, but hopefully it reappeared
for some of the other birders who were still present when we left.

Also present were many Rhino Auklets, several Marbled Murrelets, good
numbers of Brant & Bonaparte's Gulls. Along the entrance road, a
Townsend's Solitaire was also present perching on various yard trees
& posts.
