Tweets,
The Arctic Loon was seen this morning by a group of us first from the
Point No Point Lighthouse and then closer views from the Hansville Store. We
had to wair long times during dives but finally had what would have been
good binocular views. The bird seems to stay down as long as a whale when it
sounds. It helps to have many eyes but Richard Isherwood found it both
times. I was also with Dick Johnson. There were a number of others and we
all were feeling no pain by the time we all had good looks.
We found the drab Townsend's Solitaire but only after walking the
neighborhood. It was a little east of the house that looks like a ship.
We also walked the path along the east beach and there was precious
little in the way of passerines. The same was true at Port Gamble, Salsbory
Point and Shine SP.
