Ann Schaechtel, Barbara, and I got to the Point No Point lighthouse this morning (Friday) shortly before 9 a.m. and searched for the Arctic Loon for about 40 minutes before locating it roughly 300 yards offshore. We had several good scope views of the bird between 9:35 and 9:50, our last view was of the bird in flight. As we were leaving we met Louise Rutter, told her where we'd seen it and wished her good luck. We're sorry to have missed folks that arrived later, but not sorry to have missed the rain!
