Hi Tweets,

I spent yesterday morning wandering around the Edmonds Marsh and waterfront.
Breeding season is in full swing, and everywhere I looked birds were
singing, gathering nest materials and courting. The highlight of the day
though was watching the creative foraging techniques of gulls. On
Brackett's landing beach a gull was busy dropping a large snail on the rocks
to crack it's shell. On Olympic beach, another gull was taking a similar
approach with an unfortunate crab. I managed to capture some fairly
dramatic photos of both events. Actually, most of the birds I encountered
yesterday were very photogenic, and I have documented the entire outing in
the "field trips" section on my website: www.goatislandimages.com
<http://www.goatislandimages.com/> . I divided it into 5 sections, each
with a dozen or so photos. Check it out if you are interested.
