I arrived at the Hansville store around 1pm and talked to a couple birders there that said the Arctic Loon was seen earlier in the day out towards the direction of Foulweather Bluff associating with a couple Common Loons. I scanned the waters from 1pm until nearly 5pm from the store and the lighthouse with no luck on the loon. I did see several Pacific, Common, and one Red-throated Loon, but no Arctic Loon. The wind was incredibly strong in the afternoon, but it stayed dry while I was there.

Being my first birding trip to Kitsap county, it was fun anyways starting a new county tally. I did score one life bird while I was there though, a single Townsend's Solitaire was found in a yard on the road out to the lighthouse. I've been waiting for that one for a long time.
