Jean C. Roche has a 4-volume CD set of recordings: Tous les oiseaux d'Europe
(All the bird songs of Britain and Europe). I think I ordered mine from ABA.
(There may be "abbreviated" or regional versions available.) Apparently
comprehensive in scope (multiple versions of songs, alarms, calls), the one
drawback in the field (besides shear variety and length of recording per
species) might be that there are no species "announcements" to tell you what
you're listening to. If you're studying on your computer, no problem. Enjoy
the birds of Europe!!
