On my way to the Goodrich pond this evening, I checked a wet muddy area
along Goodrich Rd. after you cross the slough, on the left side in the
farm field. I first spotted a Greater Yellowlegs with a Lesser
Yellowlegs next to it, so I put up the scope. As I scanned the edges, I
found a mucher darker sandpiper with a dark bib, greenish/yellowish
legs, and a white eye ring. A Solitary Sandpiper. I had all three for a
great comparison.
On the pond at the end of Goodrich Rd., there were 70+ Dunlin, 8
Black-bellied Plovers, 33 Greater Yellowlegs, and 1 Lesser Yellowlegs. I
also had some Northern Rough-winged Swallows flying over the pond.
