Friday evening, April 20th I found a good number of hummingbirds
visiting our feeders and a Japanese Flowering Quince in our yard in
western Skamania County. I could not get a count of the individuals but I
would estimate that there were about eight birds present. Species
included our first of the season BLACK-CHINNED and CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS
along with the RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS. A possible female Anna's made a quick
appearance but did not stay long enough for a positive identification.
