Subject: [Tweeters] Weir Prairie Report, & a Question

Greetings All,

I spent nearly four peaceful, quiet hours this AM walking around Weir Prairie and the nearby woods. There were all the usual suspects, including a bright pair of WESTERN BLUEBIRDS, lots of calling CALIF. QUAIL, one noisy PHEASANT and the resident RED TAIL. The treats today were at least two (maybe more) bright CHIPPING SPARROWS, and a co-operative pair of PURPLE MARTINS. Not much water around there, so the Martins were a real surprize.

Now for the.... QUESTION:

Up until two years ago I was always able to score at least a calling BOBWHITE at Weir, and often a visual as well, but after 2005, nada, zip, zilch! Has anyone seen or heard them out there this year or last?

-Rolan
