Hello Gene,

Do you ever have that one correct. Wild Turkeys here in the Blue Mountains are now found up to 5400' and all along most of the meadows and drainages and are competing directly for winter forage base with our native Ruffed Grouse and who knows how they are impacting other native species such as our native reptiles and our few remaining Mountain Quail. Many turkey populations in this region dominate the riparian areas along the Touchet and Walla Walla Rivers. They are not unexpected in all of our towns in this Southeast corner of Washington. So when you say they may slop over Tacoma Pass it is only a question of when. It is too bad that more of these introduced-invasive birds do not try to cross I-90 or fly into wind turbines!! Just some thoughts on another inappropriately introduced species.
Later Mike
