Tomorrow the AuSable Institute on Whidbey Island is hosting an open house
event. The main attraction are the prairie flowers but there are always nice
birding opportunities, too. My wife is leading flower walks at 11:00 and
2:00. I?m leading an Audubon field trip in the morning but will scurry back
for the afternoon walk to help with birds and butterflies.
Come see the prairie restoration efforts and the beautiful flowers
(camas, lomatium, etc.) The campus is located just off Hwy 20 on Parker Rd,
2 miles east of Coupeville. If you came for the mockingbird then you?ve
driven right past it.
