I think I remember saying this years ago, but I'll mention it again.

I was stationed at the US Army Hospital in Berlin, Germany back in 1956 to 1959. Our (Preventive Medicine) office was on the ground floor in a detached building in the rear of the hospital compound (a few blocks from the Botanical Gardens).

We, actually our secratary, maintained a bird feeder (on a post) near her window. The only bird that seemed to bother her was the Eurasian Dove (Turkentaube or Turkish Dove). It was large and clumsy at the feeder and sent the birdfood scattered in every direction. That species was relatively new in northern Germany, having spread up from the Balkans & Turkey a few years prior.
