The Snowy Owl that I reported this morning on the Peone Prairie is back this
evening (8:00pm), sitting in the field about 100 yards from where he was
this morning. This is along Highway 206 (Mt Spokane Rd), just past Mt
Spokane High School and about 100 yards before Milemarker 2, sitting about
200 yards off into the field south of 206.



Other birds seen today.



Peone Wetland (Spokane County) Sora, Virginia Rail, American Bittern,
Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs.



Corkscrew Canyon (Stevens County): Northern Goshawk, Golden Crowned Sparrow



Long Lake Overlook (Stevens County): White Throated Swift



Long Lake Park (Lincoln County) Yellow, Yellow Rumped, Orange Crowned
Warblers



Davenport: Eurasian Collared Doves, Townsend's Solitaire



Davenport Cemetery: Lincoln's, Fox (4), Chipping Sparrows, Hermit Thrushes



Swanson Lakes: Loggerhead Shrike, House Wren, Brewer's Sparrows, Rough
Legged Hawk, Swainson's Hawk



Old Kucks Rd: 12 Dunlin, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs



Sprague StP: 48 American Avocet, 18 Black Necked Stilts, 8 Wilson's
Phalarope, 12 Bonaparte Gulls,



Sprague Lake (Adams County): 9 Snow Geese, 2 Ross's Geese
