Today, I ran into Gary Wiles and we birded along the trail. We started
out with the Solitary Sandpiper along the road by the old building, but
the bird flew off northward and we could not relocate it again. The pond
has just a little bit of water left, and only about 25 Least Sandpipers
were seen. Along the trail we lots of American Goldfinches, 1 Brown
Creeper, 1 Pacific-slope Flycatcher, 1 Cassin's Vireo, 2 Bushtits,
several Orange-crowned Warblers, 2 Wilson's Warblers, and 1 Lincoln's
Sparrow mixed in with some Golden-crowned Sparrows.
