Hello All,
On 28 April MerryLynn and I headed north to the Snake River on this perfect
spring day to see what migrants had arrived. We started at Starbuck and then
moved onto Little Goose Dam and up to Little Goose Landing. In this area we
located Lincolns Sparrows, Savannah Sparrow, Western Kingbirds, Tree,
Violet-green and Cliff Swallows, Golden Eagle, Says Phoebe and 7 Common
Goldeneye along with 4 Cinnamon Teal,4 Green-winged Teal and 8 DC
Cormorant.From here we headed for Lyons Ferry where we saw Yellow,
Nashville, Yellow-rumped and Orange-crowned Warblers as well as a
White-throated Sparrow. We then headed south to Ayers Rd. and saw a lone
western rattlesnake all of 6.3 inches long on the road. We also saw a lone
Am.White Pelican at Ayer. Later along Ayer Rd we saw a Short-eared Owl and
heard several Grasshopper Sparrows. Good Day!
