Tweeters,

According to a Jan. 13, 2006 article in the King County Journal:
"Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter said this week that he supports public hunts to kill all but 100 of the estimated 650 gray wolves in his state once the federal government removes the predator from Endangered Species Act protections. The governor said he hopes to shoot a wolf himself."
I hope the new Washington State "Wolf Management Panel" is more enlightened.

Hi! Don't know if it's appropriate for me to forward this, but can anyone tell me why Idaho and Wyoming want to kill the wolves of Greater Yellowstone? (Yellowstone N.P. was my playground as a child and I'm not familiar with the term "Greater" or "Lesser" Yellowstone.)
I'm sure I've missed an earlier posting, but are the park's wolves decimating Idaho's and Wyoming's livestock? Why this call for help? Anyone know? Murray (from Montana)
