Subject: [Tweeters] RFI- Spruce Grouse and Gray Partridge in WA in August

Hello Everyone,

I've heard much of the good Spruce Grouse habitat near Winthrop,
Okanogan and Omak was badly damaged in the large Tripod Complex fire
last year and the grouse are likely more difficult to locate here. Can
others confirm this? Does anyone out there have recommendations of where
to go in northern WA east of the crest in mid to late August for Spruce
Grouse? I was thinking Hart's Pass and Sherman Pass areas might be good
choices. What about Tiffany Mountain? Other suggestions?

Also, I know August isn't the best time of the year for Gray Partridge,
but any good places to try for this species as well?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. Alan
