Hi All,

I've posted a few more images from my recent Deschutes River trip on my website for anyone interested.

The first link http://www.tubbsphoto.com/-/tubbsphoto/detail.asp?photoID=4350355&cat=38975 will take you to a series of three images (click NEXT from the link image) of a RED-TAILED HAWK being (successfully) harassed by a feisty AMERICAN KESTREL. I had previously posted a link to one image from this same series I took - the hawk was relatively low and lighting conditions were good, so the images came out fairly well.

This link http://www.tubbsphoto.com/-/tubbsphoto/detail.asp?photoID=4312049&cat=38975 is a shot of an OSPREY in flight at fairly close range and pretty good light.

I was fortunate to find two ROCK WRENS out in the open one day on the trip, close enough to get a good image even though I had only my digicam with me at the time. This image is at http://www.tubbsphoto.com/-/tubbsphoto/detail.asp?photoID=4350351&cat=38988.

Before and after the trip, I stayed with some friends in Sisters, OR and was able to bird the Metolius River headwaters (a gorgeous spot), Indian Ford campground along Indian Ford Creek, and Cold Springs campground by - you guessed it - Cold Springs (elevation ~4,500 feet). The riparian growth right around the springs was filled with birds including RED CROSSBILL, CASSIN'S FINCH, WHITE-HEADED WOODPECKER, WESTERN WOOD PEWEE, MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE, NORTHERN FLICKER, PYGMY NUTHATCH, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER and others, including a RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD that fed in a small area for a good half hour, resulting in some good shots, such as http://www.tubbsphoto.com/-/tubbsphoto/detail.asp?photoID=4278052&cat=38982.

I still have a number of images to go through, including some good behavioral shots showing a female osprey shielding her two chicks from the sun with spread wings.
