A quick search on yahoo didn't turn up much on the subject, but at least
one manufacturer is producing biodegradable pellets and mentioned that
the pellets are eaten, especially by waterfowl, and that they have been
found in the stomachs of such birds. Other posts made it obvious that
people are using birds as targets for their airsoft guns and killing
them. Which is illegal. There is a local dealer in Olympia at Harrison
and Division. Certainly there is an impact on any bird that is filling
up on something with no nutritional value, whether toxic or not. And,
if protecting our natural resources is a liberal notion, well I'm
already proud to be a tree-hugging, bunny-lovin' ultra-progressive
LIBERAL!! ;)

Dear Tweeters,

Nobody answered the question about whether or not birds will eat airsoft
pellets and what the effect is. Do any of you researchers, wildlife
rehabilitators, or others know of any studies about the pellets and
their effect on wildlife?
