Trileigh,

I've found & studied a number of Bushtit nests over the years, and
I've only seen them with a single hole on the side, towards the top
(or place of attachment) to the branch. They are amazing nests! Not
sure if they are used year to year... I would suspect not. Still, I
like to leave them in place... Though they are very durable, I'll bet
many of them are destroyed in the heavy winds and rain of a NW
winter...
