Hi Tweeters,

I visited Ridgefield NWR (Clark County) yesterday morning, August 10,
and returned with Shawneen Finnegan yesterday evening:

Long-billed Dowitcher 12 (am)
Greater Yellowlegs 6 (pm - south end of Rest Lake)
Lesser Yellowlegs 5 (pm south end of Rest Lake)
SOLITARY SANDPIPER 1 (pm south end of Rest Lake - appeared to fly
southward at 7:15)
Spotted Sandpiper 1 (pm adult - north end of Rest Lake
Western Sandpiper 3 (am)
Least Sandpiper 8 (am)
Killdeer 3 (am)
Wilson's Snipe 42 (am) 12 (pm)
Red-necked Phalarope 11 (am) - 12 (pm)
BANK SWALLOW - 1 over Rest Lake in am
BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD - 1 (am - prolonged views of perched bird in
islet of trees halfway along Kiwa trail)

A receding pond (Quigley Pond) had 42 Great Egrets and 12 Great Blue
Herons tisi morning. This is the pond that has the Yellow-headed
Blackbird colony in summer).
