I was teaching a dragonfly class for North Cascades Institute this
weekend, and on Sunday, August 12, we were treated to the sight of a
juvenile Mew Gull on the tiny pond at Rainy Pass on highway 20. We
tried hard not to disturb it, but it eventually took off and flew away.
