hi tweeters,

i saw a leucistic goldfinch at Montlake this morning. it had the same stark
black wings and crown, but instead of gold or goldish-brown it was white.
it took me a second to realize it was a goldfinch. i'm not
digiscope-enabled, but it was quite similar to this guy:
http://www.ohiobirds.org/birdingnews/images/WhiteyCloseup%20(2).jpg except
that the one i saw had a black cap.

it was hanging around with other goldies near the pond that's nearest the
baseball stadium, the first one you come to if you enter from the west and
curve around on the path to the right. (i know know what this pond gets
called.)
