Just a note: I've seen reasonably large groups (half a dozen or so) of
band-tails in Carkeek Park as well at least twice, and both times not far
from the beach area, where crow densities are quite high. I was surprised at
the time at the idea that they could nest with so many crows around, because
we all know how cheerfully crows devour altricial young.
I've never seen a raccoon in Carkeek, but of course, I'm sure they're there.
