Hi Tweeters,
This is a bit off topic but the Blue Whales report
reminded me I wanted to post a link to an interesting
article about glass sponge reefs being discovered off
of Grays Harbor in June of this year. The reefs were
discovered on the continental shelf about 30 miles
west of Grays Harbor at about 650 feet deep and were
loaded with sealife. There is a cool picture with the
story.

Isn't this about where a lot of pelagic trips go?
Bits and pieces of organic material must break off and
drift up to help nourish the birds as well as the
other sealife.
